Tree of Life:

The Tree of Life represents strength and flexibility. Grounded in humility, students grow and change, flexing and bending in challenging winds but never breaking. The tree’s trunk provides support as its branches reach for new and challenging opportunities.

Hands:

The martial arts, though widely depicted as a solitary practice, do in fact provide a support network for all students. Working together, students will find opportunities for connection and growth. As the saying goes, it takes a village to raise a child. At Empower, the dojo is the village, and we all are looking out for each other.

Sun:

In Japan, the rising sun on its flag represents celebration! For example, Japanese fishermen will fly the flag proudly after a successful catch. A student is embarking on a new journey, so the reasons for celebration are plenty! Personal renewal, goal achievement, physical and mental sharpness are but a few of the rewards awaiting new and veteran martial artists.
